Kathleen
P. Dwyer is a shareholder in MacLean Holloway Doherty Ardiff
& Morse, P.C. Her practice focuses on the
areas of bankruptcy (including creditor, debtor and trustee representation),
creditors' rights, commercial transactions, workouts, tax, and general
corporate matters. Ms. Dwyer holds an Honors A.B. from Marquette
University, M.P.A. from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst,
and J.D. cum laude and LL.M. (Taxation) from Boston University School
of Law.
Prior to joining MacLean Holloway Doherty Ardiff & Morse,
P.C. in 1984, Ms. Dwyer served as law clerk to United States
Bankruptcy Judges Harold Lavien and Paul W. Glennon. She has been
a member of the Chapter 7 Trustee Panel (Boston) since 1987, and
is a frequent lecturer on current bankruptcy, tax, secured transaction,
and workout related topics for continuing education programs sponsored
by legal and other professional organizations including Massachusetts
Continuing Legal Education and the ABI.
Ms. Dwyer
is a member of the American Bar Association (Business Law Section),
the Massachusetts Bar Association (Business Law Section), the Massachusetts
Bar Foundation Fellow, the Boston Bar Association (Bankruptcy Law
and Business Law Sections), the American Bankruptcy Institute, the
International Womens Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation,
the North Shore Women Lawyers Association (1997-1998 Lawyer of the
Year recipient), and the Essex County Bar Association. She is admitted
to practice in the courts of Massachusetts and the United States
District Court, District of Massachusetts.
Ms.
Dwyer currently serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees of North
Shore Community College. She has served on the Marquette University
Alumni Board and on several municipal boards in elective and appointed
positions.
