Stephen S. Clark joined the firm of MacLean Holloway Doherty Ardiff & Morse, P.C. in an Of Counsel capacity on a full-time basis in September, 2006. Mr. Clark maintains a general practice of law representing both individuals and business clients, with an emphasis on all aspects of real estate transactions. He has represented Sellers, Buyers, Borrowers and Lenders in a wide variety of residential and commercial transactions.

Mr. Clark practiced with the firm of Clark, Hunt & Embry and its predecessors, which he co-founded in 1983, from 1983 to 2004, where he was a senior partner. Mr. Clark left Clark, Hunt & Embry in 2004 to become General Counsel to RCG LLC of Somerville, MA, for two years. Mr. Clark continues to count RCG among his many institutional and individual clients.

Mr. Clark is a graduate of Lexington High School, Lexington, MA (1969) where he was a Rotary student athlete award winner for tennis and was a member of Lexington's undefeated basketball team; Boston University (B.A. cum laude 1973); George Washington University (M.A. 1977); and Suffolk University (J.D. cum laude 1980) where he served on the Law Review and was the author of "Internal Revenue Code Anti-Injunction Act Bars Suits Seeking Discharge of Tax Liens Based Partially On Illegal Evidence" XIII Suffolk University Law Review 2. He was admitted into practice in Massachusetts (1980) and to the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts in 1981.

Mr. Clark was an elected Town Meeting Member in Lexington, MA from 1971-1973; a member of the Planning Board of the Town of Topsfield (1983-1992 and 1994), the Board of Selectmen of the Town of Topsfield (1996-2002); Town Moderator for the Town of Topsfield (2003-2006) and again serves as a member of the Board of Selectmen (2006 to date).

Mr. Clark has also served on the Town Hall Building Committee, the Affordable Housing Committee, and the Town Management Committee in the Town of Topsfield. He has also served on the Board of Trustees of the Congregational Church of Topsfield, has been a member of the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity, Greater Boston, and has served as a member of the Advisory Board to the Salvation Army Cambridge, MA division. He is a member of the Real Estate Bar Association of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Bar Association.
